Jean-Claude Andruet
Ferrari · Lancia · Citroën
A former European champion and winner of the very first world championship rally, Jean-Claude Andruet brought class to some unusual Group B machinery: a Ferrari 308, a works Lancia 037 and Citroën’s ill-fated BX 4TC.

Before Group B
Born in Montreuil in 1940, Andruet was European rally champion in 1970 and won the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally, the first round of the first world rally championship, in an Alpine-Renault A110. He later won the 1974 Tour de Corse and the 1977 Rallye Sanremo.

- 1983 – a works Lancia 037 drive, finishing eighth on the Monte Carlo Rally.
- 1985 Monte Carlo Rally – eighth in a Citroën Visa.
- 1986 Swedish Rally – sixth in the Citroën BX 4TC, the best result the car ever achieved.
His co-driver for much of this period was ‘Biche’ (Michèle Petit).
